About the lecture

Business schools teach frameworks, valuation models, and strategy.

But they rarely prepare you for crisis, conflict, power struggles, and the psychological endurance leadership demands.

This lecture offers a rare inside look at one of the most turbulent phases in the journey of Imagicaa — moving beyond balance sheets into the deeper realities of corporate survival.

The authors will unpack:

  • The inner leadership disciplines that helped them remain composed and decisive under extreme pressure.
  • Why did they choose to stay and fight when walking away would have been easier?
  • How larger national and economic developments can intensify an already fragile corporate situation.
  • The sharply differing — and sometimes conflicting — interests of stakeholders within a company.
  • The tactics used by opportunistic elements seeking to exploit instability.
  • The dynamics of courtrooms, negotiations, and strategic positioning beyond public view.
  • The unexpected parallels they drew from films such as The Shawshank Redemption and Parasite, and how storytelling mirrored lived corporate reality.

This lecture moves beyond theory.

It examines belief systems under pressure, ethical dilemmas in leadership, and the truths about power, resilience, and decision-making that no B-school curriculum fully captures.
