We tend to think of history as something enormous — wars, revolutions, empires rising and falling.
But history does not always announce itself.
Sometimes, it turns quietly: in a small town no one remembers, across a diplomatic table, or in the few seconds between a gun being drawn and a bullet being fired.
How did an obscure town in India become connected to the end of a world war? How did India and China arrive at five decades of peace — and what made that possible? And how did the assassination of a royal heir in a distant European city set in motion a chain of events that would engulf the world?
When the World Turns on a Single Moment explores these hidden turning points — moments that seemed insignificant when they happened, yet altered the course of nations, relationships and, ultimately, history itself.
A journey into the accidents, decisions and extraordinary individuals behind the moments when the world changed direction.
Because history is not only made by the events we remember.
Sometimes, it is made by the moments we almost forgot.
